/*El Uruguayo

This documentary tells the story of Rubén, a gaucho who left Argentina for Galicia. It contrasts his natural, traditional life with today’s urban world, highlighting the beauty of living close to nature.

This is the story of Rubén, a gaucho who moved to Galicia (Spain) fifteen years ago with his five children, fleeing his homeland in search of a better future. His only purpose in life has always been to live in nature and with horses. In this documentary, the gaucho shares a small portion of his life, one so different from what we deal with every day.

What this short film shows is precisely this difference, so striking, between a lifestyle that will one day become archaic and today’s urban world, this soap bubble we call the city, which has become the whole world, as if nothing existed outside of it, only images, simulations of what lies beyond. One thing Rubén repeated often was the symbolism of concrete as the representation of the city, and that really made me reflect. What we wanted to show was the beauty of living in harmony with nature, because if we use a clock to represent the entire history of humanity, we, children of the industrial revolution, are living in the last two seconds before midnight. And all the people living today have a lifestyle unlike any who came before.

Much of this documentary was created in the moment, as life unfolded, and thanks to Rubén’s spontaneity, because after all, it is simply his everyday life.

I was born in Milan, from a Danish father and Italian mother, and lived there until I was 19. In my earlier my formative years, I attended a digital communication-dedicated high school. This meant that from the start, it allowed me to develop little projects and earn something to satisfy some whims, like buying my first bike which I used to ride for 40km to go to school.

A few years ago, I moved to Bologna to study Cinematography at the Alma Mater Studiorum (Università di Bologna). Then, I lived in Santiago de Compostela to study Spanish. Few years ago, I moved to Valencia with the idea of studying a Máster degree in Filmmaking in Barreira & Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. I lived there for few years and I worked in a Design Studio called Culdesac.

Currently, I am living in A Coruña (Galicia) searching for a new opportunity. The idea of a team and community sharing passion and vision, and working for a purpose is a principle I strongly feel connected to. My main purpose in life is to connect my passions: cinematography, travel, nature and sport into something bigger.
